My name is Edwin and married with two children. I’m into radio since 1981. After years of cb radio I got my license in 2003. I like foreign languages, I speak Dutch, English and German. Also speak a little French, Italian, Russian and Spanish just enough to make a short radio contact.
I’m a member of the VERON since 1992. My SWL number is: NL 11299 but never used.
I am active as a board member and web administrator for the A32 MEPPEL branch of the VERON. We try to keep the website up to date and involve the members to provide information about DIY projects. Also, meet the members an item on the site. A member of the branch introduces himself and tells something about his experience of the hobby.

Other hobbies
My hobbies besides Ham radio are traveling, playing fieldhockey, building websites and photography.
I try to exercise three times a week, alternating between hockey and padel. Hockey and padel helps with teamwork and coordination. Balancing both activities keeps me motivated, improves my fitness, and adds variety to my routine. It’s a rewarding and healthy habit!
I like Aztec, Maya and Inca history. I did visit major historic ruins in Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Ecuador,Peru and Bolivia. I like 80’s, 90’s and 00’s dance music. www.danceradio.in My favorite city in Europe is Berlin. I love the history, the language and beer gardens. I have been there countless times and share the love for Berlin with my wife and daughter.
My hometown Zwolle
Zwolle is a municipality that has around 120,000 inhabitants. The town has a beautiful medieval centre, with lots of well preserved and archeologically interesting buildings. Although most of the city wall has now gone there are still some of the gates and towers surviving. The Saxon gate is particularly interesting, as is the moat that was made in the shape of a star. Zwolle is also a very green city with lots pf parks and tree lined streets. It has an excellent theatre and very good shopping and food.
